Who looks after your information

Optional website analytics

If you choose “Allow analytics”, we use Google Analytics, provided by Google, to understand which pages people visit, how they find us and how they use the website. This helps us improve it. The legal basis for this analytics processing and its cookies is your consent.

Analytics can collect a cookie identifier, page views and interactions, approximate location, and browser and device information. Google receives connection information, including your IP address; Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. We do not send your waitlist email to Analytics. Our tag disables Google signals and advertising personalisation.

Until you agree, the Google Analytics script is not loaded and no analytics requests are sent to Google. Rejecting analytics does not affect your access to the website or waitlist. Your choice applies to this browser.

What is stored in your browser

Cookie preference · necessary

We use local storage named earlyears-cookie-choice-v1 to remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics, and when that choice expires. We honour it for 180 days, then ask again. It does not track you. If browser storage is unavailable, we may need to ask again on your next visit.

Google Analytics · optional

The _ga and _ga_CYNM28VN6L cookies help distinguish visits and maintain session information. Our tag sets a maximum cookie lifetime of 180 days without renewing that lifetime on each visit. These cookies are only used after you agree.

Changing your mind

Use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page, then choose “Reject analytics” to withdraw consent. We stop analytics, remove this site’s Google Analytics cookies and reload the page to unload the tag. Withdrawal does not undo processing that happened before it. You can also clear your browser’s cookies and site storage.

Who receives the information

Google processes analytics information on our behalf. Its infrastructure may process information outside the UK or European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google’s applicable data processing terms describe the safeguards used for international transfers. Cookie lifetimes are separate from how long Google retains analytics records. Analytics record retention is controlled in the Google Analytics property settings; contact us for the current retention period or to request deletion.

If you join the waitlist

By submitting the waitlist form, you ask EarlyEars to use your email address for listening samples, development updates and a private beta invitation. This is separate from analytics consent. The form is processed using Netlify Forms. Email us at eyecandycode@gmail.com to stop these emails or request removal from the waitlist. Please do not submit information about your child.

Your rights

Depending on your circumstances, you can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, restriction of processing, or a portable copy, and object to certain processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. Contact eyecandycode@gmail.com to exercise these rights. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local data protection authority.
